- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪If I could give this doctor 0 stars I would. My child started developing severe motor and vocal tics and it started affecting my child's social and academic performance. When I made an appointment with Doctor Taleon regarding this issue, she basically blew it off and said it was a "Temporary tic" and if it were to get worse, let her know asap! Fair enough, I thought. Well, Unfortunately it did get worse. A LOT WORSE! When I asked Doctor Taleon's nurse (they wouldn't let me speak to Taleon directly, even though I made a request to do so) if my child could get an urgent referral to a neurologist, she said "Yes, we will send an urgent referral". Well I got a call from the receptionist at this neurology place and was told that the appointment would be 4 months from that time! FOUR MONTHS! I was shocked and asked how it could be so far away if it's an URGENT REFERRAL. That's when they told me that Taleon never marked it as urgent. So, Who's lying? I called Taleon's office AGAIN and was told by her nurse "Doctor Taleon doesn't think your child's case is urgent and you should just wait in until the date of the appointment they give you." That's when I knew Doctor Taleon couldn't care less about my child. It wasn't until I told the nurse that my child's teacher wanted to talk to her about my child's academic performance in school when she changed her mind and FINALLY marked it as "Urgent". This whole thing lasted about a month to finally get the urgent referral, nothing but headaches, tears, and frustration this Doctor has given to me. I just hope her or any of her family members don't ever go through a situation like this. Trust me, it's painful to see your own child go through this type of struggle, especially when their pediatrician doesn't want to help them.
